Agile, as a philosophy, is no longer on the fringe of product development.  It has become mainstream and Agile methods, like Scrum, are being applied by a diverse number of organizations across multiple domains. Many traditional project managers are threatened by the wide-spread adoption of Agile methods as a number of these methods don’t formally identify the role of “Project Manager”.

In order to be successful in an Agile world, project managers must make five fundamental shifts.  In this presentation, each of these five shifts will be explored, the driving factor behind each one identified and its impact on the traditional project management role discussed.  Attendees will leave a set of recommendations that they can follow to adapt to these shifts so that not only will they survive, they will prosper in this Agile world.
