Introduction/Description:

Project Managers and Business Analysts can both relate to challenges in defining the scope of an initiative, especially when taking a new idea to execution.  How do you get to the core of what the sponsor is trying to achieve?  How do you quickly ramp up team members and find creative solutions to achieve that vision?  Story Mapping has become a favorite technique to use early in project planning.  Story Mapping helps teams quickly identify and agree on project scope, uncover assumptions and level set information, identify creative solutions, and build up a collaborative working environment all in one fell swoop.  This session will provide an introduction to the basics of Story Mapping, provide a perspective of the facilitator role, strengths and weaknesses of the technique, and real world experience and examples.
