Introduction/Description:

Managing project teams is a challenge. Managing teams across geographical locations, time zones and globally can be difficult for even the best managers.  Factor in cultural differences and country-specific lingo, and it’s a miracle some projects are ever successful.  In his 10 years managing virtual teams, Jason has learned how to create a culture of success with and amongst stakeholders and project team members.  He will share his tips and lessons learned, some of them the hard way, including sponsor and stakeholder management, building a cohesive team, developing “right-sized” processes, and effectively communicating with those you can’t see.

About the Speaker:

Jason Orloske has been in project, program and portfolio management for over 17 years in the Healthcare, Retail, and Legal & Regulatory sectors. Jason is currently the Manager of Project Management at Aldevron, a Biologics manufacturer headquartered in Fargo, ND. Before that, Jason worked as a Program Portfolio Manager for WEX in Portland, ME, leading the delivery of global strategic initiatives. Jason has his PMP, Masters of Project Management (MPM), and Scrum certified. He has presented at a number of PMI-MN events, written articles for the Institute of Certified Professional Managers (ICPM) and is an avid blogger.
